About ZeroCheck & methodology
ZeroCheck is a free, searchable reference for how much alcohol is in non-alcoholic drinks and everyday products, for people in recovery, the sober-curious, and anyone who wants to know.
What we record
For each product: name, brand, category, the alcohol content as stated by the source, an ABV type, the source URL, the date checked, a short neutral note based only on label facts, and, where relevant, an alcohol-free alternative to compare.
Where the numbers come from
- Official brand product pages and brand FAQs.
- FDA-registered Drug Facts labels on DailyMed (for OTC products) and manufacturer SmartLabel pages.
- Regulatory definitions (TTB, 21 CFR) for context only.
Verified means we found the value or claim (for example “<0.5%”, “0.0%”, “Alcohol 10%”, or “alcohol-free”) on one of those sources. Unverified means we did not find an official figure; the ABV field is left blank instead of guessed, even if retailers list a number. Each entry also shows whether we read the source page directly or confirmed the official page's content through a search index.
Current dataset: 67 entries, 56 verified and 11 unverified; 40 were read directly on the source page. All checked 2026-10-31.
What we don't do
- We don't tell anyone what is right for them, and we don't give medical advice. Label facts, not medical advice; talk to your sponsor/clinician about what's right for you.
- We only list labeled over-the-counter products, never prescription drugs.
- We don't list, advertise, or collect leads for rehab, telehealth, or sober-living services.
- Sponsored placements, if any, are clearly labeled and never change a product's facts.
Limits
Formulas change, labels differ by country, and “alcohol free” means different things in different places. Always read the label on the product in your hand. Report a correction if you spot an error.
